Jessie Hamilton Defies the Expectations in a ‘Man’s World.’

From a young age, Jessie was determined to break the stereotypes and embrace every opportunity – especially if it meant operating the fascinating machines that her brother was allowed to handle on her family’s dairy farm. She made it her mission to learn the ins and outs of equipment operation.  

Growing Into an Operator 

As she grew older, Jessie honed her skills – on her own – with dedication and perseverance. The animals on the farm counted on her, and she took this responsibility to heart, ensuring their needs were met day in and day out. Jessie developed a confidence that only comes from a sense of purpose – and exhaustive knowledge of her Bobcat® machines.  

Today, Jessie operates Bobcat equipment full time, and it’s more than just a job for her. It’s the fun part of work – where every minute is instilled with power and the satisfaction of a job well done. Jessie loves the ergonomic controls and the comfort of her Bobcat compact excavator and compact track loader, as they help her tackle long days with ease and confidence. She handles her compact track loader with an artist’s grace and precision, and she’s even been complimented for wielding the machine like a paintbrush. Every task she takes on is executed with expert finesse.  

Despite her undeniable skill and dedication, Jessie still encounters the occasional customer who is unwilling to acknowledge her as the boss. But she doesn’t get discouraged. She reminds them that she’s just as capable and efficient as any man and lets her work speak for itself.
